I love capturing motion in a photo, so i naturally gravitate towards light-trails, which are created by lengthening the shutter speed to capture a car's tail lights sliding through an image. <image:caption>When visiting Charleston for a wedding, I knew I had to bring my camera and explore at night to capture some of the famous streets of the city. I love capturing motion in a photo, so i naturally gravitate towards light-trails, which are created by lengthening the shutter speed to capture a car's tail lights sliding through an image. I walked away from the trip really happy with this shot, particularly because of the composition and interesting, dynamic lighting.</image:caption>

Although the initial wooden hotel burned down in 1926, the hotel has been renovated rather substantially and remains open for guests today. I took this shot from the "Surprise Corner" lookout across the river, and found that adding a nearby tree to the foreground helped add intriuge to the composition.</image:caption>
