Fairmont Banff Springs

The Banff Springs Hotel is a beautiful, history rich hotel which initially opened in 1888 by the Canadian Pacific Railway. Although the initial wooden hotel burned down in 1926, the hotel has been renovated rather substantially and remains open for guests today. I took this shot from the "Surprise Corner" lookout across the river, and found that adding a nearby tree to the foreground helped add intriuge to the composition.
